My interest in health, healing and how the human body works led me to become a Registered Nurse. My career spanned 40 years working in hospitals, nearly always in the OR. Gradually, I became interested in other healing modalities.

Meditation became an important part of my life. I have been practicing meditation yoga for 30 years. I traveled to India many times to study with my yoga teacher. Through that association, I spent several months working and teaching at a charitable hospital in Northern India. This experience greatly enriched my life.

As my interest in the body/mind connection grew, I studied Healing Touch and  Tai Chi.  I learned how one can use universal energy for healing.  When I attended my first Quang Ping Yang Tai Chi conference in 1999, I was introduced to Master Hui Liu’s Dayan Wild Goose Qigong.  I loved it.  With the encouragement of Master Liu and Cynthia Eaton, I became a certified Dayan Qigong teacher in 2005, and began teaching straight away.

I currently teach an Irvine Valley Community College emeritus class at Rancho Senior Center in Irvine.  I also teach cancer survivors at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, a stress management class at South Coast Water District and at the Unity Church in Tustin.

My belief in the gentle, yet powerful healing art of Dayan Qigong is continually affirmed as I see the benefit to students with challenging health issues.  My personal practice has helped me to heal and remain healthy.

I thank my teachers, Master Hui Liu and Cynthia Eaton, for inspiring and supporting my desire to bring Dayan Qigong classes to Southern California, and my fellow teacher, JoAnna Schoon, for joining me in this endeavor.  One of my great joys is to practice with our group of dedicated students who constantly inspire me.
